What Are Wandering Tales?
First things first, let’s talk about what a Wandering Tale is. Wandering Tales are bite-sized exploration quests you’ll naturally stumble upon while roaming the world in Where Winds Meet. By interacting with certain characters or objects, you’ll trigger a short quest chain that leads to unique rewards and memorable moments along the way.
Where to Find the Wandering Tales Section
The Wandering Tales section can be found in the main menu. Look under the Story section and select the Journal tab. From there, cycle over to Wandering Tales. Once selected, you’ll see a generous list of tales to find and complete. Below is an image showing exactly what you should be looking for if you’re interested in taking part in these adventures.
If you are having a difficult time finding a certain Wandering Tale in the world, make sure to read the description the game provides. These can, at times, be very helpful in guiding you to the starting point of the tale.
Once you’ve started a tale and continue progressing through it, a notification will pop up at the bottom center of your screen saying, “Wandering Tales – New Clue Acquired.”
You can continue to view the tale in the Wandering Tales menu using either the Space key (keyboard) or the Square button (PS5 controller). This will show you the story you’re following and, at times, provide clues for the next steps.
These tales can sometimes be difficult to follow, and I have a few that I started but don’t remember when or where lol. My best tip, if you’re aiming to complete all of them, is to follow a Wandering Tale as soon as you get the pop-up. This helps eliminate confusion later on.
