The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Releasing March 2026 with Early PS5 & Steam Access
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin launches in March 2026 with early access on PS5 and Steam. Full release details, platforms, and pre-registration info inside.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has officially confirmed its release date. After initially pushing back the launch to ensure the game’s overall quality met expectations, the Netmarble team has now announced the official release schedule on their website.
- Early access date: March 16, 2026 (PlayStation 5, Steam)
- Full launch date: March 23, 2026 (Apple App Store (iOS), Google Play (AOS), Google Play Games (GPG))
In the announcement, the team shared that the “development team has been fully dedicated to enhancing the game’s overall quality,” and because of that initial delay, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will be returning “in a stronger and more refined state.”
Why a “Stronger and More Refined” Release Matters
I have been following this game since its early beta testing phase, and as a longtime fan of the anime, I have been genuinely excited about its potential. There is something special about the idea of stepping into an open world version of an anime universe you already love. If The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin delivers on that promise, it could truly open the door for more large scale anime open world games in the future. I mean, who would not want to fully explore their favorite anime world?
I really think Netmarble’s decision to push back the release was the right move. Delays are never ideal, but choosing to prioritize polish over speed gives me much higher hopes that the game will launch in a strong state. It takes a lot for a studio to publicly delay a release, especially with this much anticipation behind it, and I respect that decision when it is made for the betterment of the game.
Of course, everything ultimately comes down to how it performs at launch. We will see what happens once it is officially live, but going into March, I am feeling optimistic and genuinely excited to experience it for myself.
Day One Plans and Platform Choices
I will 100 percent be playing The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin on day one. I will most likely be jumping in on both Steam and PS5 when Early Access opens on March 16. It looks like the game will support cross-save functionality, which is a huge bonus for me and makes playing across platforms even more appealing.
I am genuinely excited to dive into another open world and experience new mechanics within an anime universe I already love. I am especially looking forward to seeing some of my favorite characters from the series and hopefully having the chance to play as a few of them. If this game delivers on its promises and meets player expectations, I truly think it could be one of the bigger anime RPG releases of 2026.
