How to Get ESO’s Free Night Market House + Unlock All Rooms
Here’s exactly how to unlock the free Night’s Den house in ESO’s Night Market, plus how to collect all relics and open every extra room.
ESO’s Night Market is officially live, and it’s packed with some seriously valuable rewards. One of the biggest? A completely free house, and it’s actually pretty easy to get. In this guide, I’ll walk you through exactly how to unlock Night’s Den and how to open up all of its extra rooms.
Step 1: Start the Quest “Those Who Would Rule”
I’m imagining this quest is supposed to show up in the Crown Store under Quest Starters. However, on PS5 at launch, it is not there.
Instead, head straight to the Night Market. Open your map and zoom all the way out to the full world view. On the outer ring in the bottom right, you should see a circle labeled Fargrave. Go into Fargrave and travel to the new teleport called “Event Zone: Night Market.”

Once you load in, right in front of you will be a man named The Curator with a quest marker above his head. Talk to him to start the quest.

Step 2: Choose Your Faction Carefully
Once you receive this quest, you’ll be asked to walk around and speak with each faction leader. Tachien leads The Glittering Goad, Molto the Whisperer leads the Thousand Eyes, and Kharakhal Moon-Eye leads the Ruckus.

You can talk to each of them to learn more about their faction and decide which one you want to join. Keep in mind, this is an important choice. Once you select a faction, it is account-wide and locked in until the end of the event.
All factions are competing against each other, and you’ll be working with other players to increase your faction’s reputation. Currently on PlayStation NA, the Thousand Eyes faction has a 40,000 point lead, but it’s still early and that could change.
Once you’ve spoken to each leader, head back and talk to The Curator. He’ll tell you to pledge yourself to a faction. If you’re unsure, you can check out each faction’s vendors to help decide.
If you already know which faction you want, go straight to the banner and pledge. I chose the Thousand Eyes mainly because I liked their outfit colors the most lol.

Step 3: Complete the Intro Quest
Continue with “Those Who Would Rule.” It will send you to speak with your chosen faction leader. Once you do, you’ll be rewarded with Night’s Den.
Step 4: Unlock the Night’s Den House
Open your menu, go to Collections → Housing, then select Notable Homes and you’ll find Night’s Den. You can travel to it directly from here.

The house is already pretty large, but you’ll notice three locked rooms as you explore. When you get close to the pedestal near each room, a blue ghost-like figure will appear.

You’ll need to find specific relics to unlock these rooms. Keep in mind, you only have until the Night Market event ends to get them. The event is expected to return later this year, so there may be another chance if you miss them. That said, the base house is still really solid on its own if you don’t feel like grinding them out.
Step 5 - Collect Artifacts to Unlock Extra Rooms
In order to collect all three artifacts, you’ll need to gather 10 splinters for each one. The three artifacts required to unlock the rooms are the Egg of Arac from the Skittering Precinct, the Windglass Relic from the Parch, and the Gleaming Lamp Relic from Sorrow’s Friend.
For the most part, you’ll be fighting enemies within each zone for a chance at splinters dropping. Each area follows a similar structure, but below is a full breakdown of exactly what you need to do to get all 10 in each one.
This can be a bit of a grind, since most of these will require grouping up. I mainly joined random groups I came across, which worked for the most part, but I did have to play during busier times to consistently find groups.

Step 6 - Unlocking All Rooms in Night’s Den
Once you gather all 10 splinters from a zone, you’ll be able to return to your house and unlock one of the sealed rooms.
If you haven’t already, open your inventory, go to Slottable Items, and scroll down to the bottom trophy section. You should see a list of purple items. Go ahead and consume them one by one, or as you collect them.

Once you’ve consumed all 10 splinters for that relic, you’ll get a pop-up showing the relic memento.

These can also be used in their respective zones to help you traverse them more easily.
You’ll also receive mail from the faction tied to that zone, with a furnishing pack attached.

This includes the relic piece you’ll need to place on the pedestal, along with a few extra furniture items.
Now head back to Night’s Den and go to the locked room tied to the artifact you just got:
- Stand in front of the pedestal
- Go into your housing editor
- Scroll down to the Gallery section
- Go to “Honors and Awards”
- Select the relic and place it

This will immediately unlock the room. I’ve unlocked two so far, and the theme of each room seems to match the zone you collected it from.
Is It Worth Unlocking All the Rooms?
If you’re wondering whether it’s worth unlocking all the rooms, it really comes down to how much you plan on playing the event. Each relic opens up a new wing and gives you a lot more decorating space. On top of that, the relic mementos help you traverse the zones more easily.
That said, it does take a decent amount of grinding. If you’re already planning on playing the event, it’s definitely worth going for. If not, the base house is still really solid on its own.
Final Thoughts
The Night Market is honestly one of the better events ESO has put out in a while. Getting a free house this big is already worth it, and the base house itself is beautiful. Here are some pictures of the base house.

Unlocking the extra rooms just gives you something to work toward if you want to keep playing the event.
If you’re planning on unlocking everything, just be ready for a bit of a grind. But if you stick with it and find some good groups, it’s definitely doable before the event ends.
