Heartopia Daily Checklist: What to Do Every Time You Log In
A cozy Heartopia daily checklist that walks through quests, NPC visits, resource gathering, crafting, and prep to help structure each login without pressure.
When logging into Heartopia, the first few minutes usually sets the tone for the entire session. Some days I jump straight into quests, and other times I take things a bit slower and focus on smaller tasks first. Having a loose daily routine to fall back on helps me stay organized without feeling boxed in, and it makes each login feel a little more intentional. This checklist came together naturally over time and has become a simple way to enjoy the game while still making steady progress.
This guide walks through the things I personally check and complete each day when logging in. It is not meant to be a strict list or the “right” way to play, but rather a gentle framework that helps keep things moving without turning Heartopia into a chore. If you enjoy having a bit of structure or just want a calm starting point when opening the game, this daily routine may help you find your own cozy flow.
Daily Tasks, Requests, and Progress Checks
Menu Check
The very first thing I do when I log in is check the event menu and my phone menu to see if I have any missed notifications and what is currently going on with events. Currently, we have a “Guild Sign-In” that I like to claim immediately so I don’t forget. We also have a “New Life Log” that opens up new tasks for me to complete each day. I like to look through it, collect anything I have already completed, and see what is involved with the remaining tasks.
The events tab is always changing, and new events will pop up, so it’s nice to give myself a rundown and make sure I’ve collected everything before I start doing anything else. I also like to check my mail to see if anything has been sent. The developers have sent many goodies over the past two weeks, so it’s important to go in and collect those!
Resident Requests
Next, I focus on completing my resident requests, which are essentially daily quests. These are very important to complete every day because they are currently the only way to earn contribution medals. Contribution medals are used to level up your D.G. Member level, and each new level unlocks additional features. This system is a key part of your overall progression and helps you steadily move forward in the game.

Pet Care
After that, I take some time to care for my dog and cat. This includes feeding them and giving them some pets. You can do this multiple times a day, but if you’re only able to log in once, make sure you don’t skip it. Caring for your pets helps level up your Dog Caring and Cat Caring hobbies, as well as your pet catalog. As you level these up, you’ll unlock new pet actions and earn rewards like gold and wishing stars. These systems take some time to level up, which is perfectly fine.

Gardening
Next, I take care of my garden by harvesting the crops I planted the day before. After that, I plant new crops and water them. Doing this just once a day will start leveling up your Gardening hobby, which unlocks new crops over time. I recently unlocked pineapples and am excited to see what other crops are available.
Important NPCs & Places to Visit Each Day
After that, I head into town and visit several different shops to interact with various NPCs. Here’s a breakdown of what I do at each one:
- Bob’s Furniture Store – Check for new furniture, which updates daily. New room displays are added every Saturday.
- Dorothee’s Clothing Store – Browse and purchase new clothing items, which rotate every day.
- Mrs. Joan’s Pets Home – Buy dog and cat food, and check to see if any new pet clothing is available.
- Bailey J (Birdwatching Mentor) – Turn in any birdwatching cards I collected the day before.
- Massimo (Cooking Mentor) – Buy milk and coffee beans. You can purchase up to 50 of each per week, and they’re a great way to make gold when crafting lattes and coffees. You can also buy other cooking ingredients here.
- Blanc (Gardening Mentor) – Stock up on seeds so you don’t run out.
- Ka Ching – Buy puzzles, which reset daily. You can purchase one puzzle with gold and another with wishing stars.

- Annie – Purchase emotes and musical items.
Daily Resource Gathering Route
This is one part of my routine that changes from day to day, but at a minimum, I always make sure to gather Roaming Oak Timber and Flawless Fluorite, since each of these resources can only be found and collected once per day. You can locate them by exploring the map and passing by other residents’ houses, as one of these two resources will appear on each of the 12 resident lots.

Beyond that, my gathering depends on what I’m aiming to accomplish during that session. If I’m working on leveling up my cooking, I’ll spend some time gathering cooking resources. If I’m focused on crafting furniture, I’ll gather logs, rocks, and ore. If I want to progress in other hobbies, I’ll pick one and gather materials related to it. Because of this, my gathering routine changes almost every day based on what I’m in the mood to work on.
Inventory Check
After running through all of these daily tasks, I take some time to organize my inventory. This usually involves moving items from my backpack into my warehouse and selling anything I don’t want or need to Albert Jr. (Gold Merchant). He walks around all 12 resident lots and appears on your map, making him easy to track down.
I also check the event guide again and review my main menu to see if there are any new notifications. This gives me a helpful mid-to-end session check and keeps everything organized before I log off or move on to something else.
Home Maintenance and Decorating Tasks
If I have the time, I usually spend a little while working on my home. Each week, you can submit your home for a house evaluation, which allows you to earn rewards. Because of this, continuously decorating and evolving your space is very important.

I like to let my home take shape based on whatever direction I’m feeling in at the moment. I’ll check what I can craft at my workbench, look through my inventory to see what furniture I’ve collected throughout the day, and then start decorating. Almost every day, my home continues to improve and expand, and I’m excited to keep collecting and receiving new furniture and recipes.

Optional Activities for Extra Time
This is usually when I switch into full completionist mode and start checking off every little thing I can. I’ll look over any quests I still need to complete or head into the event tab to make sure I’ve finished all the tasks for whatever event is currently active.
Alongside that, I might spend more time grinding my hobbies, explore the world more deeply, or gather additional resources. I also keep an eye out for new bubbles, which can contain furniture, clothing items, or recipes. At this point, I mostly just do whatever I feel like in the moment and let the game session take me wherever it wants to go.
End-of-Day Wrap-Up Routine
As my session starts to come to an end, I do one final check to make sure my inventory is clean and organized. I sell off anything I don’t need and store extra items in my warehouse so my backpack is clear for the next time I log in. I also make sure my dog and cat are taken care of, and I’ll harvest and replant seeds if my garden needs it.
This end-of-session routine helps me prepare as much as possible for the next day, making it easier to jump right back into the game without feeling overwhelmed or disorganized.
